Principal
Michael B. Mohr is a Principal of MetWest Ventures and MetWest Realty Advisors. Since joining the MetWest team in 2009, Mr. Mohr has focused on the sourcing, underwriting, structuring and management of both equity and debt investments. His responsibilities include asset management and strategic planning for the real estate portfolio, including oversight of leasing, capital improvements and financing. Mr. Mohr works directly with Mr. Hollander on the structuring and execution of complex real estate investments. He also works closely with Mr. Schweitzer on accounting, reporting, investor communication and legal matters.
Mr. Mohr began his career in New York in the Commercial Mortgages Group of Bear Stearns & Company, where he was responsible for originating and underwriting commercial mortgages for securization. Immediately prior to joining MetWest, he originated balance sheet loans secured by real estate for ING Real Estate Finance, LLC. At ING, he also managed a portfolio of performing and distressed real estate facilities including term loans, construction loans, and corporate revolvers in addition to being tasked with expanding ING’s lending business to Canada.
Mr. Mohr graduated with Honors from the University of Michigan, earning a B.A. in Psychology. He continued his academic pursuits at New York University, earning a M.S. in Real Estate with a concentration in Finance.
